Vice Finance Minister Zhu Zhigang was elected as the President of CAS at the 3rd National Assembly. He addressed theclosing ceremony by raising nine requirements for the profession: 1) Make the appraisal profession ethical and respectable;2) Take Independence, Objectivity and Impartiality as the profession’s life; 3) Improve appraisal practice and strengthenthe consciousness of quality and responsibility; 4) Strengthen the continuing professional education; 5) Push forwardthe appraisal standards setting; 6) Improve the consciousness of self-regulation; 7) Improve the services provided byCAS and local societies; 8) Strengthen the international cooperation and communications; 9) Precipitate the process oflegislation on appraisal to improve the practicing environment.
